Products Used in this Project

Darryl Twitt moved their Honda premises to a new site in Orrvale, Shepparton in 2019, constructing a brand new showroom involving the installation of a Compact Sectional door. They also brought a new dealership to the Goulburn Valley region this year, with a new Jaguar-Landrover showroom right beside Honda, – also involving the installation of one of our Compacts.

The finished product is a fantastic testimony to the success of the Darryl Twitt group, and their reputation for being the number one choice for New Ford, Honda, Volkswagen, Jaguar Landrover and Audi vehicles in the Goulburn Valley region.

Echuca-based Brandrick Architects were responsible for the architectural design of the new facility, which called for the installation of two of our Compact Sectional Doors.

The Compact Sectional Door is well suited to Car Showrooms as it can be designed to match the building architecture, as well as the functional  specifications required for the build itself. For this particular project, the architect opted for transparent glass sectional doors to blend in with the glass facade of the building, and to maximise  natural light throughout the facility. Many variations can be manufactured including incorporating a wicket door or a mixture of both vision panels and thermal RAL panels. The Sectional Door panels offer options such as: thermal, PVC, double-glazed acrylate, polycarbonate, reinforced safety glass and more – as well as the many colour options available that can be colour matched to the building.

This style of door is a favourite for both Architects and Builders, due to its versatile aesthetic customisation options, and its onsite installation versatility, respectively. The Compact Sectional Door doesn’t require the vast overhead space that is the norm for standard overhead doors, meaning Architects and Builders can utilize this saved space for interior design, lighting arrangements and more, without impacting the door both in open and closed state.

Energy Efficiency at its Finest

Due to its superior insulation properties, energy efficiency is an added bonus when installing one of these doors on a facility. Customer comfort and satisfaction is an important aspect to designing a car showroom, and these doors enable the dealership to maintain a consistent temperature, the insulation keeping out the heat in summer, and preventing heat loss in winter. With easy, fast and functional operation, the door can be quickly and efficiently opened and closed throughout the day as vehicles need access and egress, also contributing to retaining a consistent temperature.
