Consultancy and Planning
Detmold manufacture and supply a large range of foodservice packaging products within their large Brompton facility, so a strict level of hygiene within the facility is adhered to.
High speed doors were required within the facility both on interior and exterior openings, to provide fast access access within separate rooms, as well as access from awaiting traffic outside.
Within their facility, Detmold have utilised rapid roller doors on their airlocks, to provide a superior level of hygiene control to their manufacturing line. Traffic enters through an automatic high speed door into the airlock, and the door closes behind them. They then open the second roller door, and exit the airlock, - meaning that the air from behind the first door, does not pass through or enter the room behind the second rapid roller door. This system dramatically reduces air transfer, prevents bacteria transfer throughout the facility, and works to ultimately reduce contamination.
With the external high speed doors, the main goal for Detmold was to reduce dust transfer, which also contributed to their hygiene control within the facility. Using handheld remotes for activation, the doors can be activated from afar to ensure efficient, prompt access.

In December 2019, an extension upgrade was made to the Ridley Agriproducts facility, installing a Movidor high speed door for dust control and efficiency on their grain pit.
If not properly contained within the grain pit, the dust travels from trucks when releasing a load of grain into the pit, and can quickly become problematic! View this project to learn how high speed doors can be used for dust control within the milling and grain industry.
