PROJECT OVERVIEW
In a food processing facility of this scale, it is imperative to have functional, efficient traffic flows, and temperature controlled doorway solutions providing fast, seamless access to all areas of the warehouse. Downtime in openings, waiting for doors to open and close, and temperature loss in openings can mean lower output, increased production costs, and greater energy inefficiency. The Movidor rapid roller door solution was the perfect answer to maximize traffic through the openings, and minimize air loss.
Nine Movidor High Speed Thermic Doors were installed in internal rooms throughout the facility, for temperature controlled access to coolrooms and freezers. Movidor Thermic Insulated roller doors utilize a unique 3.0mm thick, 1450gsm foam backed curtain designed to reduce condensation in cold to ambient temperature openings. With high Thermal Conductivity, these doors are designed to reduce energy loss through the doorways, whilst still maintaining high operating speeds and traffic efficiency.
Twenty standard Movidor Rapid Roller Doors were installed in event and produce rooms, to promote fast and efficient access throughout the facility, whilst maintaining a constant barrier against airflow and air-born pests. With the unique, Movidor crash-out and self-repair feature, these rapid roller doors were the ideal solution to increase traffic flow efficiency, lower maintenance costs, and promote energy efficiency throughout the massive facility.
All doors were fitted with full-surround brush seals, to reduce airflow through the tracks of the door, and further increase temperature and dust control throughout the facility. The Movidor high speed doors were also fitted with Falcon radar detectors, designed to detect oncoming traffic within set parameters of the door opening, and open and close behind the forklift and pedestrian traffic.
We're thankful to have the opportunity to work on this project, and are excited to see this massive facility continue to grow and provide Victorians supermarkets with fresh produce and products. See further images of the project down below.
